Press Statement
The Government of the Republic of the Sudan welcomes the statement issued by the League of Arab States, in which it expressed a firm condemnation and categorical rejection of the so-called “parallel government” announced by the RSF militia and the “Ta’sis” alliance on 26 July 2025.
The Arab League unequivocally rejected the formation of any parallel or alternative government structures outside the constitutional and legal framework of the Sudanese State. The statement also warned of the grave implications such actions could have on peace, stability, and security in the region, and cautioned against continued efforts aimed at undermining Sudanese State institutions.
The Government of Sudan views the League’s position as a reflection of its positive engagement in matters pertaining to peace and stability in Sudan, and as a sign of its genuine commitment to the collective role of Arab States in promoting regional security and stability.
The Government of Sudan reaffirms its continued commitment to working with all countries and regional and international organizations that respect the sovereignty of the Sudanese State and support its efforts to achieve a just and inclusive peace and complete the transition on the basis of national ownership, respect for the rule of law, and preservation of territorial integrity and political independence.
