A recent report published by Amnesty International, titled “They Raped Us All,” on April 10, 2025, highlights the severe instances of sexual violence carried out by the Rapid Support Forces militia in Sudan. The report is based on the harrowing testimonies of survivors and categorically asserts that these actions are blatant crimes against humanity and war crimes, warranting immediate accountability. It calls upon the international community to take swift and punitive measures against the Rapid Support Forces militia.
The findings of this report align with the Sudanese government’s position established since the initiation of the conflict: the grave offences committed by the Rapid Support Forces militia against the citizens of Sudan necessitate the classification of this group as a terrorist organization and its prosecution in accordance with international law. Moreover, the government urges the international community to hold the United Arab Emirates, the primary supporter of this militia, to account and to designate it as a state sponsor of terrorism.
The Government of Sudan appeals to the international community to break its silence and undertake decisive, urgent action to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice and to formally classify this militia as a terrorist organization
