Clarification

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to state that the Government of Sudan has absolutely nothing to do with the news carried by the Israeli newspaper “Haaretz” on October 5 to the effect that Israel is considering exiling leaders of the Hamas movement to Sudan.

The Ministry further views the attempt to implicate Sudan in this matter as nothing more than a ploy to tarnish its image and to divert attention away from the external aggression against the country that is sponsored by certain regional powers.
